At 18.5" in 30 hours and it is still raining

Saturday, October 24, 2015

We are getting a record rain fall. Last night I45 in Corsicana was closed for more than 12 hours because the path under the interstate that was supposed to carry the water could not handle the volume.

Our all weather roads are not for this weather. Just getting down the street is impossible - even for off road 4x4. Thank goodness for John Deere otherwise we would not be able to get our 4x4 back home.

Engineers on a train, we have the mile long trains that come through Corsicana, had to be rescued as Chambers Creek put a couple of feet of water on the track - bet you did not know that trains could not float!

All the animals are hurting - Alpaca, Cows, Horses, yes and even the ferral cats. I hope this is over soon. We will have a lot to clean up.
Still raining but water is receding
The rain has started to slow down and the water is starting to recede. Do not know when it will stop completely. Know my 20 acre lake is just a 15 acre one!
